Synopsis
Cliché is an Atlanta-based social satirical dramedy about January Hawthorne as she navigates through her personal and professional life. Her experiences help her to redefine what it means to be a single black female. She's reached a pivotal point in her journey when she begins to question where it's headed. She's in her mid-thirties, has a successful career, and is in an eight-year relationship with her twin flame, but is that enough?
After re-entering the cutthroat dating scene, she realizes that the task of finding the "one" is a lot harder than she expected. She's encouraged to join a support group for single women. The support group falls short as it does not address the unique issues that women of color experience. Because of this, she began a "Dating While Black" podcast series.
